With Paradox 8 + Service Pack 1 I just experienced this

Working directory [Paradox 8 alias :Sample:] Samples directory, have
created a sub directory Test: path ..Samples\Test

Then when saving a Report or a Query and naming e.g. a report Test.rsl
the file is saved to the Test directory and NOT the Samples directory.

Have others experienced this?

Michael,

In Microsoft's Common Dialog system if you type in the name of a
subdirectory of the current directory and then hit <return> then the
current directory (for the dialog box) will move to that directory. This
appears to be what you have done. If you had typed in "Test.rsl" rather
than "Test" all would have been well, I suspect (unless, of course, you
also had a subdirectory called "Test.rsl" <g> !). Remember that directories
are just files too !

Yes I found out that it is the default Windows behavior, but never tried
it before.
