Newbie Question: Stack Overflow Error

I have 8 users (all win98 on various PCs brands) that are running Paradox 8.
The data resides on a healthy NT server and is connected with a 10/100 hub.
About 2 months ago we started getting errors in Paradox. It starts with
"Stack devide or Overflow" msg then goes to either "pdxwin32.exe GPF" or
"ido***.dll IPF" errors. I've tried MS's fix, adding STACKS=64,512 ;(this
is the maximum allowed) FILES=60 BUFFERS=40 to config.sys, to no avail. The
error happens when scrolling the fields with the arrow keys or Page up/down
keys.
Does anyone haveany Ideas?? TIA
