One small problem with many database programs is that the general user (not
particularly computer literate) must use a variety of programs and
sub-programs. These are usually kept on seperate databases or working
directories. The old fashioned, tried-and-true method of getting these users
to go from one module to another is to provide an icon or access program on the
desktop, which he uses to go into the first module. When he wants to move to a
different module (say, from Payroll to Inventory), he must close the database
program, then re-open it from the desktop into the new module. This wastes
alot of time. The knowledgable user can figure out what working directory to
switch to, and what form, script or table to open to launch the new module, but
these are few and far between.

I have come up with a way to allow users to move between modules without
shutting down Paradox. It produces a list of the most commonly used databases
on the Tools column of the menu bar; clicking on one will automatically switch
you over to the new module. It is easy to upgrade, and can be customized to
each individual user. I have given this information to Corel, and they say
that it will eventually be put into their knowledge base on the web. If
anybody wants it ahead of time, just e-mail me at Jdad...@aol.com. Have fun!
