Hello, I sure hope you can help I'm going nuts. After 20 minutes +/- of
working in Photopaint 7, I have a total lock-up, no mouse, no keyboard
only a re-start will get it going again. My system is: Pent 166,128 megs of
ram, 850 megs open on C drive, 1 gig open on D drive, Win 95. I start each
session with a scan-disc and defrag, no other programs open, all caches,
temps, clip board and recycle empty, no "un-do list" and only one level of
un-do. It doesn't make much difference what the image file size is, from
less than a meg up to 15 megs. On the options>memory I have tried memory
settings from 50 to 95% and different combinations of swap discs. It is
almost like after a certain number of "events" it just quits. It does seem
to lock up faster if I have several objects/layers and am attempting heavy
number crunching like mesh-warp as compared to simple pixel clicking---but
in either case lock-up is inevitable. My tech has gone over the whole
system and proclaims it to be optimum, including reinstalling windows and
Corel. I sure would appreciate any help or hints. Thank you
