I am using Corel PhotoPaint 8.
I would like to erase a specific color and leave the surrounding area
untouched.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?

there is a way to do so, i'll try to explain it to you. as i work with
the german edition of corel paint, i can't probably tell you the exact
name of the function, but i'll do my best:

you can use the function called something like "replace color", menu
picture (4th of left), first menu point ("adjust"??). 4th function from
bottom should be like "replace color". there you can choose whatever
color you want and replace it by another.
is that a solution to your problem?
