Hi, I'm having a real problem with Corel Draw 9 (both at home & at work). As I
am working with my document, my system resources keep on getting lower & lower.
Then I start getting error messages "Required Resources Not Available" and my
program freezes. When I check my system resources when I first start Corel
Draw, my system resource at at 92%. As I am working on Corel Draw, it keeps on
getting lower & lower. At the time when the program crashes it is down to 14%.
I have a 450 mhz PII, 128 mb ram, 16 mb 3d graphic card, 5Gb available h.d.
space. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Patty

There are several problms ith Corel 9 and Ressources.
I also got a 450 MHz PII and 128 MB Ram. And when I'm working on it, my ressources
are also shutting. But it don't crash....
Try to blow up your Pagefile Size to 200MB. When you're running under WinNT, check
out the services who are running in Background and try to find out, if there is an
incompatibility with Corel. Stop those who aren't necessary needed by the system.
(like antivirus, etc...)
Another hint: Try installing the Service-Pack. U can download it from
ftp.corel.ca.

Hope it will turn better!

Hi Patti,
Resources are a section of your computers memory. The amount of memory doesn't
usually make any difference. You have a program running on your computer that
is running your resources down. Are you running Norton System Works? I
experienced the same problem after I installed this program. After reducing
this program down to the anti-virus only, things were back to normal. Think
back, did you install a program about the same time you noticed this happening?
In addition, look in the bottom right corner. Right click all of the icons
there, and turn off each program that you do not need to run while you work
with Corel. If you do this one program at a time, you may discover which one is
causing the problem. Hope this helps ~ Al
