What I am try to do is demonstrate how asymetric peoples faces are by cutting a
frontal picture in half vertically, copying and flipping both halves and
reassembling them so I have two pictures. One of left halves and the other of
right halves. Is this confusing? Do you get the picture?

1. Get a copy of your face (keep the original) and draw a rectangular
mask over the left half of it.
2. In the objects menu select create : copy selection (you can also
select this by right clicking within the mask)
3 The dotted line of the mask (assuming you have this switched on)
should now get small blocks in each corner and in the middle of the
sides.
4. Click on the block in the middle of the left hand side and drag it to
the right while holding down CTRL.
5. When you pass the middle of the face a box will appear on the right
hand side. Unclick the mouse and the object of the left hand side of the
face will be flipped over the right hand side.
6. On the top toolbar press "Apply" to confirm the flip.
7. Again on the objects menu pick combine objects with background.
You should now have your face with two left hand sides. Save this and
repeat the process but reversing left and right on your original face
image to get the right-right version.
If you want me to try and explain this better please let me know.
Cheers
