QUERY: Has anyone written a thumbnail generator script for photopaint 7 ?

I'm about to start writing a script for photo-paint 7 which will
automatically create thumbnail index files from a user-selected directory
that contains a series of images. This is just what I need for posting image
series to newsgroups. If anyone has already written such a script then fell
free to post it here and save me reinventing the wheel! :)
