Have problems with installation, Corel Linux OS - based on Debian 2.2
Kernel. The PC in question had Windows Millenium, and tried to boot from CD,
but it froze each time on 'installing Linux'. Tried with the diskette that
came with the packet, and the same happened. Tried to create a new diskette
from the CD. This at least produces an error : Error 0x10, and is going in a
loop, never loading Linux. Now both harddisks have been formatted, but it
does the same thing. I guess the problem must be situated in the Bios, there
is nothing else to look at. What can I do to make it work?

Corel Linux is rather dated and obsolete. You probably have
hardware newer than what it can support. You are better off
to try a newer distribution. Libranet is based on Debian as
Corel was. http://www.libranet.com
Xandros bought linux from Corel. The have recently released
a version. http://www.xandros.com
Hope this helps.
