A question, but first, I see there is not much traffic on this list. A good
thing I suppose, since that makes it easy to keep up. I am enjoying Corel
Linux on my Toshiba 510CDT laptop, and wish Corel had not sold their linux
but kept developing it. A moot point now I suppose.

Now the question...
Can anyone tell me why my laptop, every once in a while (perhaps once in 10
times) will boot up and apperently reconfigure x, selecting the original
settings, even though I have rewritten the file deleting certain modelines
and including some different modelines?

AND
Can anyone tell me if there is a battery monitor for Corel 1.0 now that I
have apm support in the kernel?

Hi Bob. I don't have answers to any of your specific
questions, but you may want to consider Corel Linux 1.2. I
think it's available for download from the Xandros site
http:www.xandros.com (the ones that purchased Corel Linux)
under downloads. It fixed a few of the issues with 1.0 and
1.1. If you want a more current version of Linux based on
Debian, try Libranet http:www.libranet.com.

Good luck,

Tim

Thanks Tim, I will have a look. Only thing is, I don't have a CD writer here
so I could only install it if it will let me do it from the harddrive. I
will have to check on that.
