I installed CorelDraw 11 in my system (Win98) and now Ventura 8 is slooow
printing (if prints) when are CDRs in the document and generating previews
of CDRs in screen. The cdr files are v.7, I only installed Corel 11 but
don't work with these software yet. Today, printing a Ventura file with some
linked .cdr appears a window of "Corel A.R.M." that sounds me about problems
when appears Corel10... and really cause a problem because I need to restart
the computer.
Some solution for Ventura 8? (well... I uninstalled Corel 11 and now all
works fine, but I prefer another solution :-)
Some news about problems of Corel 11 with Ventura 10? I spent a lot of money
in a new computer and Corel 11 and Ventura 10 upgrades (I'm waiting the
computer next week to install all with XP) and before installing the new
system I'm really dissapointed.
Thanks in advance,
Arturo Martínez
I was just browsing the old messages and found one of yours still open,
but hopefully better late than...
This may be related to the same problem I experienced when upgrading from
VP5+CorelDraw5 to VP8+CDraw8. I have no experience of Draw 7, though,
so i cannot be sure, if the solution is the same.
Try doing a new "save-as" to all your .CDR files: in the "Advanced" saving
options
select "save presentation exchange (CMX)" (or something similar...).
This should do the trick at least as far as interchangeability with and
printing
speed of Ventura 8 is concerned.
And of course, check that your CDR files are saved as max. version 8
and not higher.
