i discuss to use Ventura for a complicated layout of a manual, but
there are some serious mistakes, that may change our mind.
I know Venturas possibilities for many years since version 1.0, but I
have to convince my colleagues (and me too).
For I tried to use hyperlinks and the html conversion which runs quite
well, but...
1) When I put some marks - I don't know, whether that's the right
english word) its written in the text-editor as
<$M[markierung]> - after some operations (I don't know yet which...)
the mark is gone but the text of the mark (e.g. markierung ist written
twice at the same place.
??? Thats serious, for it will destroy all our marks and make the
whole work unusable.
2) I've use the format Bullet for the intended use, but changed the
point as Symbol in front of it (all the wrong english words...). Now
I've got several versions of that format, named " bullet", " bullet",
" bullet", every with one more blank in front of the name. I
experienced the same mistake, when I tried the same with a self build
format (name "p") with a bullet as a symbol. The effect is not seen
with other format withouts bullets.
??
I need an answer asap (this night) - we want to discuss tomorrow.
Thank's a lot
(I'm not sure, whether this newgroup works, so please excuse my
