Hi

I am trying to set transparency for an object in the docker window - I slide
the bar down to any number, then press ok - do you think it works?
Noooooooo..

I heard something about clicking that "Lock object transparency" button on
the bottom left corner............but that doesn't work either.

Sometimes the transparency I set works - but there is nothing different that
I do except start talking nice to the program...........LOL!

Anyone have any ideas as to how to get the transparency to work the first
try?

Thanks

it sounds like you're going about it in the wrong fashion. What are you
trying to achieve (i.e., what is the end use going to be) and what are the
exact steps you're taking? What format is the file that you're working on?
etc, etc, etc.

Hi, thanks for replying

I am not sure what you mean by format? cpt?

The steps I take are, I click the object I want to adjust the transparency
on in the docker window, then I slide the transparency bar, then press ok -
but it does not stay.

For example if I type text in, i will click that text in the object docker
window, slide the transparency/opacity bar down to where i like it, then
press ok. More often than not, it does not keep the opacity/transparency I
set

right - are you working in a CPT file.. or some other format?

[snip]

You still didn't say what you're trying to achieve. What is the end result
going to be used for?

yes, I am working in corel photopaint v 9

for example, i want to put the sentence: "By Sitara" in white text, then I
want to
fade that text - I would do it in the object docker window. That setting
doesn't
want to stay faded on the picture, it stays a solid white.

your attached picture didn't have faded text, so I don't know what you're
meaning. Now, the attached image did have 3 separate objects. You're working
with objects/layers, right?

Use the transparency tool in the tool bar (wine goblet icon on the button)
Use this on the selected text object, hopefully the text is a seprate
object.
