Scanning problem

I have been using a Canon FS2710 scanner with Photopaint 10 with no
problems, but recently, following a crash, when I attempt a scan Photopaint
puts up the following error message:

The application could not enquire about the palette of the image from
the Twain driver. Image acquiring aborted.

The problem is not with the scanner, because it performs OK with other
applications. I have tried reinstalling the TWAIN driver without success.
When I
repair the installation from the CD things are OK for a while and then the
error comes back.

Anyone have any ideas?

I, too, have scanning problems in Corel. Using a 6200c HP scanner (which is
certified compatible with Win2k), everytime I use it in Corel the next time
I enable the scanner, I get a "twain drivers not installed" error forcing me
to remove the scanner completely, unplug the USB, reboot the machine several
times, plug in the USB, let Windows find the scanner etc.

Happens in no other applications other than Corel.

I recently installed that download but it's only the Precision Scan Pro
program....not new drivers.
