Matrox Powerdesk kills Painter IX

I have discovered that under Win XP sp2, Matrox PowerDesk (for P65,75 &
Pharilia) causes Painter IX to fail to open. Did not have this problem with
painter 8.

i'm using the latest drivers (1.07.01.060 with powerdesk) from matrox on
winxp sp2 and all is well with painter ix.

That's interesting. I'm using the save version of the driver. There must be
some other variable implicated here.

only one thing comes to mind. do you have the ms .net framework installed?

outside of that, i don't know what the problem might be.

Check if you have the save window position checkbox selected in powerdesk.
This causes problems infrequently with some applications.

Under powerdesk you can have the save window position box selected for
everything and then have an application specific request to leave painter
alone.
