I noticed that people are trying to make 7 behave like 6, so why not
just go back to using 6?
Is there a way to use the build up option on a brush like Smeary Flat?
I tried the tip provided by Karen Sperling, ( thanks ) but this would
not work on the brushes I use the most, like Variable Flat. The brushes
it worked on feel like markers.
Thanks,

(Still a work in progress... If your on anything below a GHz, PC, this
site will run slow. Unfortunately it runs poky on all Macs including
the DP 800 and 867. Barely useable on my G3 366 old timer.)

Thanks, Karen,
I tinkered with the Dry ink, and scaled down the bristles and spacing. It feels
kind of like watered down acrylics, which is great. Now I can buildup with
brush strokes.

Just for fun, try painting with bright yellow on a Layer or the Canvas
with a brush set to Buildup.. Dry Ink is what I used (this is what I
recall.. but I'm not dead sure about it). Then, on another Layer, paint
with Cyan.. very lightly.. and see if you don't get a bright grass
green. You might have to fiddle with it a bit, bit it worked for me.
Other color combinations were sometimes interesting but not always.. and
almost never what we would expect.
