I have a Wacom Cintiq tablet with two extra 23" Apple monitors, and a
Mac G5 with OS 10.2.8.

I have tried everything about rearranging the monitors, etc. but
neither Painter 7.1.358 (special update!) nor the trial version of
Painter 8 work.
That is, the mouse works but the pen in either tablet or mouse mode
writes far away from the tip if at all.

According to your posting Re: Wacom Cintique Not Working with Painter?
7/2/03 on corel.graphic_apps.painter imagi...@corel.com seem to be
in the absolutely unique situation in that that their Painter works
flawlessly on a Cintiq + two screens. However Corel answered that
imagi...@corel.com is not a working email address.

The consensus on all forums seems to be that no version of Painter works
with dual monitors, so people have to switch to other products. I really
like Painter, I bought v.7 and would like to buy a working version, if a
working version exists, but I found no hint of such a version.

Correct.

It is working, it's just that we cannot guarantee a reply from this
address. However, we do read these newsgroups (and more forums).

That is incorrect: Painter 7 with the latest patches, procreate Painter
Classic and Painter 8 (any version) work well with any number of
monitors, in any position. We use it daily on a triple-monitor setup,
with the main monitor in the middle (this is on a Mac).

On Windows, due to design issues (one large Painter window), you have to
arrange your monitors (including the Cintiq) in a way that allows the
stretch of the main Painter window across all the monitors you wish to
use.
