Your help would be appreciated.

It won't be a .doc file. Your designer could export the files out as WMF
files and you could import those into Word... she could also export/save the
images in a number of other formats that could be imported into Word.
I ran into your same problem trying to import corel .CDR file into
Word97.
I was successful by doing "SAVE AS" in Corel 8 and selecting the
output file to be "Corel Ver5 .CDR". The converter that comes with
word97 will accept this CDR file when you insert a picture. The final
picture quality looked good. Couldn't find a newer Microsoft CDR
conversion file for Corel Ver 8.
I tried saving as EMF and wasn't pleased with quality of final
picture. Also tried going through Adobe Paint to get .JPEG file for
Word97 and still wasn't satisfied.
There is a file converter for Word that will accept Corel.cdr files.
The problem is that the converter only works with Corel ver 5.0 files.
I use Corel V8.0 and save the drawing file as Corel V5.0. When I am in
the Word document, I insert a picture from a file and point to the
Corel.cdr V5.0 file. This has given very good results.
Let me know if you have any problems with the procedure.
