Hi

I recently created a network for our office and since then I get the error
'unable to add office compatible entries to registry' for any users that are
not administrators. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Derick L spoke unto the group and said...
The Corel knowledge base has this answer for CorelDRAW 10

Disable VBA by tagging /NOVBA onto the end of the command line in the
shortcut that launches CorelDRAW

You can do a temporary test to see if this is the case in Draw 9, by
holding down F9 and launching Draw.

Not ideal if you want to use VBA.

However I also found this post in the Google news group archives
relating to Draw 9 that may also be of use, however editing the registry
is a little more dangerous.

I have fixed my problem by finding the key that is added which is
"HKey_Classes_Root\CLSID\CBD2EDBE-65D0-11d1-B7B9-00A0C90646A9 and
changing the permissions for all users to full control, only the key for
draw. This is the key that corel tries to write to( I think). I
determined this with a utility that allows me to see which registry keys
it was trying to create/open. Another 3rd party download called Regperm
was used in a batch that called the regperm - it edits the permissions
to the above key. Now when a user logs in they no longer get the
registry error.

Hope this works for you.
