After upgrading form Corel 8 straight to Corel 10 (heard bad reports about 9
so skipped it) I had terrible trouble with many settings (nudge offset,
duplicate offset, rotate text -no button for that anymore?, etc, etc). I
have now fixed most of them to my satisfaction BUT - WHERE IS THE OCR TRACE
GONE - Please help (good job I've still got Corel 8 fully installed - bit a
pain though)

Gary,
Start, Programs, Corel Draw 10, Graphic Utilities.
It took me ages to find it as well.
Trace still works in Draw itself when you have a bitmap selected and choose
the normal freehand drawing tool. The cursor changes to the trace tool on
hover over the bitmap.
Hope this works for you.

OCR Trace no longer exists - there is still a vector tracing program,
but the OCR functions are no longer available. If you still have version
8, you might want to install the version 8 OCR Trace program as a
standalone app and continue using that one.

The OCR part of Trace is no longer available.

Greetings,

Trace is there but ocr is gone in 10. Think 8 was the last of it.

Gary,

CorelDraw 8 was the last version to include OCR. You can load it from the
CD, just use custom install and deselect everything except Trace. CorelDraw
8 installs directly to the C: drive and not in C:\Program Files, so it won't
interfere with your Trace 10 installation.

Hope this helps. Of course if you don't have CorelDraw 8, it won't help you
now will it?
