When I tried to make postscript file (color management is turened off) for
press from coreldraw file with imported PSD files (it was rotated and
skewed) I had a terrible result; all of PSD pictures have stripes.
Than I tried to make the same witha Adobe illustrator, and than it worked.
How can I make it from Coreldraw?
Thank you for answer.

Firstly how are you checking the files? Best way is to acually print
out to a postscript printer - don't use Corels Postscript Interpreted
import filter to check.
Remedy could be to either re-convert to bitmap on Draws page once the
images have been manipulated or manipulate in PP or PS before
importing.

1. I made workart in Coreldraw with imported PSD pictures.
2. I print it (Print file) on ScitexDolev4Press used its PPD.
3. I allways check print files I made, before send it to Print bureau by
imported it to Corel.
4. The result of imported prn file was stripes on PSD pictures.
5. I thought that it is only the problem with Corel import filter, so I
decide to sent it tu Print Bureau
6. Unfortunately the result in Bureau was the same as it was on screen when
I imported prn file.
7. I made same artwork with adobe illustrator and made prn file.
8. I imported in Corel as prn file.
9. The result was OK!
10. I sent it to Bureau result was OK!
11. How can I make this with Corel?

Thanks, that helps.

One assumes the Bureau was honest and did not import the way you had.
I make the point about the Interpreted filter as it does not work
reliably as a test, but it appears on this occasion it was :-(

Try as I suggested in previous post.
Also, what happens if you make a PDF? The problem might not be Corel
directly, but the driver in relation with Corel. Are all postscript
levels the same?
For the record, in the past on the odd occasion I've had corel refuse
to print properly (bitmap as well!), refused to print it's own EPS of
the page the bitmap was on. Take that same EPS into QuarkXpress,
printed no problem. The bitmap when was coming out with lots of
noise/stripes, but this was one that had had no manipulation as such.
I've also seen oddities if the original PSD was saved in Mac version,
i.e. comes in upside down or wrong size - but this was bought down to
import/export filters 'being out of step'
I also tried to make it with Linotronic530 driver and result was again
stripes.

Not to change the subject but did you see the new Epson 2200? 7 colors
CcMmYKk. 2880x1440 droplet size is 4 picoliters. Very cool output.

Why PSD specifically? If you are using that to maintain layers I'd say
there is part of the problem. Postscript does not fully support
transparency. Should use masks and/or clipping paths IF that is what
you are doing.
Are these bitmaps in front of vectors?
>It works when exported as PDF!<
Then there is another workaround, print from PDF.

Nope, not an inkling. Got to investigate now darn it.....
though I ought to upgrade the O/S and PC's so I can run software.
Thanks for the heads up.
