Text problem in Draw 10

Hi, anyone who can help I'd be most grateful. I've recently started getting
a problem with Draw 10 whereby if I'm in text mode and I start typing then I
get a beep each letter and as soon as I hit space it goes to pick.

It's as if it's not recognising that the keys being pressed are text rather
than keyboard shortcuts. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked for a
few days now it's happening again. Does anybody have any experience of this?
