1. Vector format exports does not work with lasers. The outlines you can export
- this is ok for Electrox Scriba lasers which can fill in their progras but for
example for Synrad lasers I haven't found a functional format with fill lines.
With the lasers we have sold we used to sell CorelDraw too but as the new
versions are not functional anymore we propose Adobe-products.
The batch mentioned for you does not help at all.
2. Often with laser markers you scan a customer logo, smooth and correct it, fix
the fillings etc. and mark. We have found this a annoying work in CorelDraw 10.
In version 8 you can scan-trace-drop the vector format to Draw-select a
outline-smooth it, autoreduce it and it's often rather good. From Draw10
autoreduce is left out.
If you have a way to do this or disagree me please mail. We are now using Adobe
Illustrator and old Draw8 (which might be able to open the mailed drawings...)

I'll list three ways you can create vector fills for you Synrad lasers.
1. Contour tool.
2. fill with black and then export as HPGL file with simulated fill
lines(found in HPGL advanced dialog)
3. use a Fontain Fill then export as HPGL.
If you are looking for product to sell along with your Synrad lasers or for
importing into your Electrox systems, you should consider Corel Essentials;
which is just Corel 9 without all the add on stuff and has great HPGL export
filter ($99us).
Stella's problem is before the patch, Corel 10 did not properly close the
shapes and hence couldn't be filled inside Scriba software.
