Cannot select objects or paragraph text

I am using CD11, version 11.633.

In working on a document, final stages, of course, I imported three
graphical objects, the second and third of which were images on our own
website. Anyhow, after adjusting the position of these last two
objects, I attempted to do the same on the first imported, but CD11
wouldn't give me access to it, then I discovered that it won't let me do
anything with anything. No access to the text boxes. No access to
anything. What I do have is the entire page selected as an object.

If I click around on it either with the pick tool several times, it will
change on it's own to text mode, but does not allow control with the cursor.

I saved the file under a bogus name and tried with the original, but
same story. Rebooted computer. Same deal

Any clues? I'd sure like to save the document -- I put in several hours
and hate to loose it.

Open the Object Manager and have a look at the structure of the objects.
Are they locked or on a locked layer?
Are they "covered" by a large textbox or an invisible object?
Can you select anything from the Object Manager?
Do you get any other clues from the OM?
Have you tried to select in Wireframe mode?
Is it possible to jump between objects with the Tab key?

Try this and let us know the result.
