I'm a Bryce newbie but experienced in CG - I wrote a ray-tracer in 1982
when *every* cpu cycle counted :-)

I am trying to render the intersection of three orthogonal cylinders. I
can do two cylinders just fine, but I cannot figure out the combination
of +/-/Intersect attributes to do all three. Do I need to do this
hierarchically? Would it work to group two intersection cyls with a
third one that is a child or parent? I haven't done anything with
hierarchies so far; I think I have a lot to learn first.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Starting w/ the first boolean intersection set that groups attributes to
positive, then the 3rd cylinder attributes to intersection. Group the
first group and the cylinder together and you will have the intersection
of the 3. Hope this helps.

In article <4181E3FE...@netscape.net>, gosha...@netscape.net
says...
Thanks, Wes! That worked.

I'd about given up on this group - there seems to be almost no activity.
Are there really so few Bryce users or is there another group/forum
that's more active?
