WPO 2002 Install: Serial # screwup

This is the godamnedest thing I have ever seen in 20 years of PCing
and almost that many in WordPerfect. I am not stupid enough to expect
an answer with a number here but maybe someone from Corel with a drop
of humanity will respond timely.

Yesterday I purchased WordPerfect Office 2002 Standard Upgrade to load
onto my new Dell 8200 1.8 ghz wonder. Even though it came with MS
Office XP and I use all other MS office apps, I have been a sworn WP
user since BEFORE WordPerfect Corp bought the program from Sattelite
Software Inc in the early to mid 80s. But this I have never seen.

The install went to the second screen and "barfed" when I put in my
"Product Authenticity Card"'s serial number. 5 Times! No spaces, no
typos, no misread characters. And no installation.On the weekend
neither was there any support available. I tried all kinds of
parameters to find what was wrong. Needless to say the code is quite
effective. It accepts nothing.

I guess I will have to install my WP9 or give up and go to MS Word. I
am a dedicated "reveal codes" believer who has used WP in my law
practice forever but this may cause me to switch and get a new
secretary (as mine will likely quit. She has used WP since day 1 when
we switched from WordStar!)

TELL ME I AM NOT CRAZY. SOMEONE HELP ME.
