I just went from WordPefect version 10 to 12. It was one of the
reasons I just got a new computer, since 12 wouldn't run on my old box
with Windows Millenium Edition. My involvement with WordPerfect goes
back to version 4.1 for DOS, and I STILL use DOS 5.1 on occasion. For
handling nothing but text some of its features have never been
equalled. Back in the day I used to create fancy macros and sell
articles about them to WordPerfect Magazine for $500 a pop. (You know
the feature called Clipbook? I invented a 5.1 macro that did the same
thing.)
Am I to understand that version 12 DOESN'T HAVE AN ADDRESS BOOK? Why
on earth would they do that? Apparently you can use Microsoft
Outlook's address book. But apparently that doesn't mean Outlook
Express, it means Outlook from Microsoft Office. Am I wrong?
WordPerfect didn't seem to recognize Outlook Express's address book.
Do I have to BUY Microsoft office just so I can paste addresses into my
correspondence?
Is there any way I can install the address book from version 10? Will
version 12 recognize it?
