How to merge ascii(235) in a Doc WP7/VB5

Merging data in a datafile gives problems if there are char like ė. This
char (I received it in the data as ascii -value 235). stops the process of
merging.

How can I avoid this?

Any clues are welcome

I am using Vb5 and Wp7.0.
