Delphi Document Summary

I've been working on a delphi class which retrieves Word Perfect
Document Summaries at the file level. In my law office, we use the
document summary as our principal document identifier. We don't want to
use long file names as our file identifier.

I think I have the basic problem licked, so that I can display word
perfect document summary and file name in a listbox, or stringGrid. But
I don't have the time (and perhaps talent) to perfect this so that it
would be sufficiently bulletproof to share, market or whatever. I am
wondering if there is any Delphi person out there who would like to take
what I have done it and perfect it. I believe that this would be a
valuable tool to lots of WP users. If you are a Delphi Developer, and
think you are interested in using my work as a starting point. (Or has
someone already done something like this and if so, who are you).

I'd be happy to send my code to whomever, provided that if the recipient
makes something better out of it, that I can use the perfected product
in my law office.

If you don't get a reply here, talk with Mitch Milam at
mi...@milam.com. Mitch is a Delphi nut -- maybe even a bigger one that
you -- and knows how to walk a WPWin file prefix.

FWIW, Corel never should have removed the Descriptive Name long file
name feature from the open files box. Many companies really need this,
and Windows95 long file names are not a substitute.
