I have a form with a table and I am filtering on one field. When the filter
is active and I scroll past the last record on the table, paradox hangs and
I have to end task it. I have tried all I can think of and I have never had
this problem before.
When there is no filter set it does not hang.
And I have tried recreating the form completely and it still does the same
thing.
Thanks in advance
Dave

do you have a sec index on that field?.. the behavior you describe usually
means a damaged index file.. delete and re-create the sec index..

No I don't have a secondary index, but it does have table lookups setup and
when I go to that tab it tells me that a val file is out of date

Well, I copied the table to another directory, deleted all lookups, etc,
deleted the val file, and still no success. On note though, this is a
version 5 table and it hase over 130,000 records also. Could this be a
problem

I just tried it again and it works, it just takes a long time to think
about it. A few minutes actually.

You might try turning off autoappend on the table in the data model. That should
keep you from going past the last record under normal circumstances.

For me, this is a normal behavior for large Paradox table with a Filter (if
you make a SetRange(), you have a good speed).
In this case Paradox is very very slow, but not hangs. The same if you make
a search (with Ctrl-Z) with a pattern that not exist in a filtered table.
