Huh?
Yes, Runtime comes with the BDE, same as Full Paradox does.

Then runtime should be included on your CD.
I think it was available as a download as well but I'm not sure it's there
any more.

if Runtime is on a disk of it's own (like P7 RT) is the BDE on there
too? (too lasy to dig out a disk and look for myself)..

OK. I looked <g>.. gues it *is* there.. there are a bunch of idapi* pak
files in the 7/16 folder.. nothing visible in the 7/32 folder, but the
whole she-bang is pretty much in one big file..

strangely enough, in a folder called "Paradox 10 Runtime" <g>

the whole thing was there a long time ago, but they replaced it with SP2
(using the same file name)..

that's not what I meant.. of course it needs the BDE to function.. I was
wondering if the BDE was actually included on the CD, if the CD was Runtime
only..
to distribute something with Runtime, you must already have real Paradox and
the BDE (and a distrbution method, i.e. Wise, Installshield, etc).. w/o
looking to see if the BDE was on a Runtime-only CD, I could think of plenty of
valid reasons why it *should* be on the CD, and just as many reasons why it
*shouldn't* be on the CD..

I think this implies that have the first original release of WPO 2002. The
version of full Paradox 10 on that CD needs to be patched. I remember
ordering a complete new CD from Customer support as it was a complete
reinstall.
You can check your version in the help-about window. What do you see?

P10 Runtime installs the BDE and Runtime. Whilst it is better to deploy
your application and runtime with an Installer (such as Inno), you don't
need to. I've often installed my app successfully (via remote control)
by just running the Runtime .exe and then copying my tables, forms,
reports, scripts etc into the correct directory structure and setting up
a desktop icon to start the app.

Also, don't forget that there's objectPal instructions that are not enabled
in RunTime that can be used in Development version. You'll find the list in
help documentations about RunTime in Development Help (If I'm ok).
