Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced of Mainframe professional and strong credit card domain expertise and hands-on exposure to Fiserv platforms, preferably VisionPLUS / First Data card processing environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume card processing applications on IBM mainframe, with strong knowledge of the end-to-end credit card lifecycle including authorization, billing, disputes, collections, and settlement.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

·         8+ years of experience in Mainframe development/support with strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.

·         Strong experience in the credit card / payments domain.

·         Prior experience working with Fiserv, preferably on Vision PLUS / First Data card processing platforms.

·         Good understanding of card lifecycle processes including account onboarding, transaction processing, authorization, billing, payments, disputes, fraud, and collections.

·         Experience with online and batch processing in high-volume transaction environments.

·         Strong knowledge of IBM mainframe tools such as TSO/ISPF, File-AID, Endevor/Changeman, SORT utilities, and scheduling tools like Control-M / CA7.

·         Experience in production support, incident analysis, defect resolution, and performance tuning.

·         Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and convert business requirements into technical design.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications supporting credit card processing and servicing.

·         Work on card management functions such as account setup, authorizations, transactions, billing, statements, payments, disputes, chargebacks, collections, and settlement.

·         Support and customize Fiserv / VisionPLUS modules based on business requirements and regulatory needs.

·         Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective mainframe solutions.

·         Develop and support batch and online processes using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.

·         Perform impact analysis, code reviews, unit testing, system testing, and production support.

·         Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure system stability for high-volume transaction processing.

·         Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, QA teams, and upstream/downstream system teams for end-to-end delivery.

·         Participate in release planning, deployment support, and post-production validation.

·         Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and support knowledge transition.
