Location: San Jose, CA
The Senior Front-End Development works closely with other team members to develop dynamic, interactive websites and software using HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript and other related technologies. You understand how both the User Experience and Technology disciplines operate and act as a liaison between the two.
Responsibilities:
· Translate visual designs into completed HTML pages while adhering to design specifications
· Establish and implement front-end structure and standards for specific projects.
· Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life-cycle.
· Ensure cross-browser compatibility and resolve bugs where required.
· Based on functional specifications, optimize development for User Experience.
· Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and be able to promote their usage as project needs dictate.
Experience Guidelines:
· 6+ years of industry experience
· Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML, XHTML, CSS and Javascript
· Strong experience in developing standards-based, CSS-driven, table-less layouts.
· Knowledge of Javascript/UI libraries
· Strong organizational and estimation skills
· Heroic get-it-done attitude
· Experience working on large branded websites a plus
· Experience working with CMS, Portal technologies, and/or backend frameworks (Java, .NET) a plus
