Hi YA Team members

Hope summer treated you well and coming monsoon showers are lifting your spirits. It rained in Delhi yesterday and it was a blessed relief.

I'm writing to seek your support to connect us with individuals/organisations who are working in building self-awareness and mindfulness, and if they have experience of working with Teachers (Government would be an add-on), facilitating workshops then it would add to our gains.

We, that is Kshamtalaya Foundation team at Delhi is working on bringing Whole School Transformation in two of the Primary Government Schools of East Delhi. We have identified building mindfulness and leadership skills along with other skills as core of our intervention. We already have a beautiful and comprehensive curriculum around Social and Emotional learning for children, now in process of being designed for Teachers.

We need someone to guide the team in refining the curriculum and session plans we are building to inculcate Self awareness and reflection in School Leaders i.e. Principals.

Support we need: Our expectations in terms of gaining support are:

1. Feedback on Curriculum and Lesson Plans

2. Facilitating one experiential session with the team on building self awareness-if possible Life mapping/Tree of Life

3. Helping/guiding facilitators to understand what all points we need to be mindful about, when working with adult learners in authoritative position and conducting such sessions.

4. How to guide the participant or support him/her when he/she is experiencing different emotions esp negative emotions.

5. How to build self capacity.

We are looking at one full day session with team, along with some online support.

We can contribute:

• We would be comfortable with taking care of your travel and other logistics.
• We can offer our sessions, knowledge in few of the school domains
• and lots of love and gratitude.
• If it would make you feel supported then we can also contribute and offer a small honorarium.

Timeline: Since our schools reopen from July 1, 2019. Any day prior to it would be best, however if you have time in first week of July, please connect.

Location: We operate out of East Delhi, but can travel to other part of Delhi for the session, if needed.
