Landfills are an expression of the ecological crisis we are together in, we must listen to them.

This Action Learning Day, we shall make a pilgrimage to a Landfill. To remind ourselves of the responsibility we aren't ready to take. The intention is to experience the massive dump which we contribute to daily, see what it does to us and tell it's story, of people, of stuff and of the system.

Our team member, Shashank has been exploring the intersection of ecology and economics, seeking to deepen the relationship between the two. As a part of that, last year he visited landfills in several cities in the country, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bangalore so far and with it emerged the idea of Earth-Shastra and as his journey comes one of the many full circles through this Landfill Pilgrimage, as this visit will also be a precursor to Earth-shastra.
