Greetings from the land of tribes.

Shiksharth is a not-for-profit organization working towards improving the quality of education in rural and tribal areas through action-based research and develop solutions which are contextual and customized for the children in rural and tribal areas. Shiksharth at the core believes in community led model of education and is currently working on ways by which community, its wisdom, culture and customs can be contextually incorporated in classrooms content and pedagogy.

Currently we are based out of the tribal Chhattisgarh in Sukma, South Bastar in collaboration with the local administration and state administration.

Being a team of youngsters with an average working experience of 4 years in the education domain we are looking for passionate individuals who care about how rural India can shape the future and the role that education can play in that.

As part of our focus on improving the quality of education in the region we are working on Project Jigyasa— Promoting science education through innovative hand-on experiences and helping the children get out of the fear of Science. In the last 2 years we have engaged with around 1000 children and developed modules which are based on using low–cost resources and contextual examples. Yet a lot needs to be done. And we are looking for passionate innovators to take this journey forward and make a difference to the lives of tribal children through science.

POSITION NAME: Project Coordinator—Science Education

LOCATION: SUKMA, CHHATTISGARH

Competitive Remuneration will be based on qualification, experience and performance. Minimum one year commitment is expected from the applicant.
