Planning meeting: Save the Brooklyn Commons for the movement!

Thank you all for attending the Making Worlds Forum: Building the Commons last weekend. Your creative, caring and intelligent input was amazing! As a follow up, we are having a meeting to discuss the future of the Brooklyn Commons.  Those who attended the Space discussion know that Melissa Ennen, owner of the building, might need to sell the Brooklyn Commons. This would be a great loss to the movement, especially at a time where community spaces for organizing, networking, caring and socializing are scarce.  We hope to develop a plan to save the building and create a vibrant common resource for the movement.

Agenda:

7pm Introduction

7:15-7:30pm Detailed explanation of the financial and legal situation

7:30- 8:30pm Open discussion and brainstorming

8:30- 9pm Next steps
