Dear All,

We are pleased to invite you to the February 2026 Community of Practice (CoP) session on Capacity Building on KYL Datasets and Report Interpretation.

This month, we will focus on capacity building on KYL datasets and report interpretation, with a practical emphasis on how partners can apply KYL insights for baseline preparation and MAP-related planning decisions.

KYL integrates datasets on natural resources, agriculture, water, and climate risks. While partners recognize the value of these insights, there is a growing need for clearer, hands-on understanding of how KYL works, how key indicators are derived, and how KYL reports can inform real project decisions. This session is designed to build practical confidence through a structured flow: understand → apply → reflect → share.

CSOs and partner organisations play a central role in translating data into action on the ground. This Community of Practice session creates a space for partners to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen collective practice.

Whether you’re a returning partner or joining us for the first time, these sessions are a great opportunity to connect, share, explore collaboration, and co-develop the CoRE stack.

Session Focus Areas

  • Quick refresher on how KYL works: datasets, indicators, data layers, and visualizations

  • Applying KYL insights to real use cases:

    • Interpreting data for baseline assessment

    • Supporting prioritisation and planning in the MAP process

  • Understanding how to read and use KYL reports for decision-making

  • Sharing early experiences, challenges, and adaptations from partners
