Common Ground is looking for facilitators to conduct community consultations and train landscape stewards. Please do refer / apply. I am guessing that the facilitators will also help with conducting trainings on Commons Connect, Know Your Landscape, etc.
Across India’s landscapes, the challenges of climate, livelihoods, and equity are deeply interconnected, yet the spaces to respond to them collectively remain fragmented. Our approach must focus on strengthening the social infrastructure that enables collaboration, connecting actors, building shared processes, and supporting collective learning across ecosystems.
As part of this effort, we are inviting experienced facilitators to join a regional panel in Jharkhand and Odisha.
The facilitators will play a critical role in holding and nurturing spaces for dialogue, reflection, and collective action, supporting communities, civil society organisations, and local actors to engage more meaningfully with shared priorities. Beyond enabling processes, this is about building distributed facilitation capacities across the ecosystem, so that collaborative action can take root and sustain.
This includes:
– enabling inclusive, participatory spaces that centre diverse voices
– strengthening collective decision-making and action pathways
– supporting reflection and learning across landscapes
– mentoring grassroots actors to build confidence and ownership in facilitation
We are looking for facilitators with deep grassroots experience and a commitment to participatory practice, particularly those who have worked closely with rural communities. We strongly encourage women and tribal facilitators to apply.
