Hello folks!

We have 2 technical talks coming up at 4 pm Friday, 12th June, 2026, on very interesting topics relevant to IOLN's work. Both these are topics many people in the WGs felt very eager to learn about as it came up in the last meeting, and I'm sure these will be of great interest to many others in the network too.

The talks will by our members:

1. Ameya Gode (WRI), on his work on RADAR-based landcover change analysis in the context of mapping changes in forests and mining
2. MD Madhusudan (Independent Researcher), on the science behind reference maps and diagnostic tools for classification in the Indian context in the Diagnostic Assist Tools module he recently built for IOLN work, which all the classification WGs are currently actively using and have found quite helpful.

Please do join if this is of interest and your time permits, for this lovely opportunity to learn together from our colleagues.
