ETECoffers a variety of 3D printing systems with the ability to mass produce polymer parts with the speed and quality needed for demanding end-use applications. ETEC printers deliver parts with exceptional accuracy, superior part properties, fine feature detail, and smooth surface finish at a scale and cost that is competitive with traditional manufacturing techniques like injection molding.

ETEC DLP parts deliver best-in-class surface finish with less than 1um Ra. This exceptional smoothness is critical to compete with plastic injection molding and is the result of more than 10 years of research & development devoted to perfecting the DLP process.

ETEC combines advanced hardware features such as high-powered projectors and custom-designed optics with materials that leverage long-chain chemistry to deliver truly isotropic material properties critical for end-use applications.

With a wide array of materials, including both proprietary and third-party qualified resins, ETEC materials deliver mechanical properties required for for end-use parts across a range of industries and applications.

ETEC solutions are designed for ease of use from the ground up, with intuitive software that simplifies the process of setting up and starting a print and the ability to switch between materials in just minutes, users can produce end-use parts tailored to their application with ease.

The Envision One features patented CDLM (continuous digital light manufacturing) technology, which enables the ability for continuous printing. With little to no delay between layers, the Envision One delivers exceptional speed, print resolution, surface finish, and part properties.

The Envision One leverages long-chain polymer chemistry to produce strong, stable parts. The result is isotropic parts suitable for end-use applications and capable of standing up to the most demanding conditions.

Unlike most plastic additive manufacturing methods, parts created via CDLM are made up of entangled long-chain polymers, making them fully isotropic. This is vastly different from processes like FDM, which create anisotropic parts with few, if any, polymer chains between each layer. To create those long-chain polymers, printers must be able to process highly viscous resins which require large amounts of power to polymerize. Their high viscosity means these resins cannot be jetted (PolyJet), and would take too long to process with vector based polymerization methods (SLA).

By using industrial DLP chips, verus cheaper consumer grade chips, and a custom designed optical train enable high contrast and minimal distortion for the projected picture resulting in accuracy down to the micron level.

Intuitive, easy-to-use Envision One RP software automates support generation and part orientation, while an integrated file repair tool patches meshes and readies the parts for print. Cloud software allows users to remotely manage the system, send jobs to multiple printers and monitor job progress, while over-the-air software and firmware updates ensure users have access to the most up-to-date tools and processes.

The Envision One Mechanical Bundle produces accurate, high-quality parts quickly and reliably. Create functional prototypes that hold tight tolerances and maintain excellent surface quality. Versatile material options allow for parts that are ready for a variety of applications.

Designed to take you from beginner to expert in a single machine, the Envision One cDLM is the only professional 3D printer you'll ever need. ETEC delivers an end to end solution including design software parameter optimization to deliver accurate parts every time with minimal supports.

ETEC's E-ABS Tough is an extremely tough ABS-like 3D printing material. E-ABS Tough is an ideal solution for a wide variety of applications including snap-fit items and assembly applications which require some elasticity.

E-RigidForm is a polyurethane-like resin that 3D prints strong, hard and stiff parts that can be used for prototypes and end use. Available in translucent amber, gray and black, E-RigidForm has high tensile strength (68-73 MPa) that compares with acrylic, nylon 6 and polycarbonate. It also delivers good heat deflection and water resistance. With a hardness value of Shore D 87, the same value as a cast urethane plastic, E-RigidForm is a versatile and tough material that is ideal for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications.

E-Rigid PU is a polyurethane-like resin that 3D prints end-use and prototype parts that compete with injection molded plastics. Available in black, natural and white, E-Rigid PU is hard and stiff but also maintains good strength, marked by flexibility and impact resistance. With a Shore D hardness values similar to the value as a cast urethane plastic, E-Rigid PU is a versatile and tough material. It is also an excellent solution for 3D printing dental diagnostic waxups.

Loctite E-3843 is a black resin that may be used for prototyping or functional parts production. It offers good Impact resistance and thermal stability making it suitable for many demanding Engineering applications.

Loctite E-3860 is a black colored light curing acrylic resin that may be used for functional prototyping. It cures with a very short exposure to monochromatic light sources such as LED. Printed articles made from E-3860 exhibit high heat deflection temperature (HDT) and good print resolution.

Loctite E-3840 is low viscosity, one-component light-cure acrylic resin used for prototyping via digital light processing (DLP) or Continuous Digital Light Manufacturing (cDLM). It cures with short exposure times which results in fast print speeds and provides very high print resolution which is ideal for parts that require fine features.

Discover how DLP (digital light processing) 3D printing technology is enabling end-part production at scale with materials, mechanical properties, speed, and part economics similar or better to traditional manufacturing.

The ETEC EnvisionOne is a powerful desktop 3D printer that features patented cDLM (continuous digital light manufacturing) technology which enables breakneck print speeds with little to no delay between layers. With a wide range of compatible materials, simple workflow software, and a precision light engineer, the EnvisionOne delivers exceptional speed, print resolution, surface finish, and part mechanical properties.

Parts that are manufactured via cDLM are made up of entangled long-chain polymers, thus resulting in fully isotropic parts, something that cannot be achieved via the FDM process. To create the long-chain polymers, printers must process highly viscous resins which require great power to polymerize. These resins cannot be jetted (PolyJet) and would take too long to process with vector-based polymerization methods such as the SLA.

Involved

Setup and training with on-site installation recommended. The printer requires an air compressor, which is too loud for an office environment. The full solution takes up considerably larger space.

Complex

From having to manually refill materials to the lack of automated post-processing solutions, each step of the workflow is more labor-intensive, less user-friendly, and has a steeper learning curve.

Free and easy to use

Formlabs' free print preparation software, PreForm, automatically suggests optimal orientation, supports, and layout, with the ability to manually refine as needed. Try it now. You can also use the online Dashboard to manage printers, materials, and teams.

Buy a fleet of 3-7 Form 3+s or Form 3B+s or 2 large-format Form 3Ls for the price of a single EnvisionTEC printer to scale your throughput, be able to print different materials simultaneously, and have peace of mind to avoid downtime.
