🛩️ From Rare Volumes to Real-World Impacts: Volunteering & Mentorship in STEM

You’re invited to join SwRI Library for an engaging (hybrid) presentation by Southwest Research Institute Research Engineer Nicole Webb (Intelligent Systems Division) as she shares how volunteering and mentoring can transform classic STEM ideas into immersive, hands-on learning experiences. Learn how Webb mentored Trinity University students and collaborated with the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT) to refurbish a T34-C cockpit into a modern flight simulator exhibit and discover opportunities to support future STEM education and outreach projects. A selection of rare books from the SwRI Library collection will be on display, offering a glimpse into how rare volumes can turn into real-world impacts. Lunch will be provided. For questions, please contact Valerie Darling.

Registration is required for both in-person attendees and those watching online. Registration will be open until July 29. Directions and additional event details will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event.
