The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) welcomes enthusiastic, collaborative, and service-orientated applicants for the Library Assistant - Weekends (part-time) position (Posting number: AS1494PO) at the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) Library, part of the University of the Incarnate Word Libraries.
Reporting to the Director of the SOM Library, the Library Assistant is responsible for providing direct assistance to the SOM learners, faculty, and staff in circulation & resource access support, by phone, e-mail, and/or in-person. This position also participates in UIW Libraries chat service to provide library support to the UIW community.
The SOM Library is located at Brooks City Base, once the home to the Brooks Air Force Base School of Aerospace Medicine. Opening with its inaugural class in 2017, the UIWSOM currently offers the following degree programs: Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Master of Biomedical Sciences, Master of Public Health.
Also, a great work experience opportunity for graduate students in the library science master's program.
Note this is an on-site work position.
