Last Thursday, July 23, CORAL had an Open Member Meeting to talk about the future of CORAL including proposed changes to event scheduling. The meeting minutes (attached & linked) and recording of the session have been uploaded and can be viewed online. A summary of the contents is provided below as a quick recap, for more information please review the minutes.

The proposed annual schedule includes:
The Board is proposing a change to how CORAL allocates funding for the annual D10 conference.
With the proposed changes to programming and scheduling, we understand the importance of collecting member feedback to ensure that these new proposed changes benefit CORAL members. Please take the survey (linked below) so we can gather input on future events, networking opportunities, and communication platforms. The results will be used to inform future planning and organizational priorities.
Want to get more involved in CORAL? Join one of our teams (or create a new one!). Teams help plan and organize CORAL activities.
Each Team will have two leads and the support of the CORAL board. If you’re interested, please fill out the form.
Special Interest Groups (SIG) are member-led communities centered around shared interests, library specialties, or professional topics. They're intended to be informal spaces where members can connect, share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another. SIGs help connect members around shared interests and expertise. If you’re interested, please fill out the form.
The Board discussed creating a new section on the CORAL website dedicated to internship and practicum opportunities. Member institutions seeking interns will be invited to submit information using a standardized template, which will be distributed in the coming weeks. The goal is to better connect library and information science students with experiential learning opportunities across CORAL member institutions.
Thanks to everyone who showed up and engaged with us! We’re excited about these new changes are hope they better benefit our members. If you have any questions, comments, ideas, or feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly or through the CORAL email.
