Hello CORAL,

One of our research areas has microfiche content they are looking to digitize. If you have recommendations on companies who can assist with this, or if your org offers digitization services I’d appreciate the info!

Thank you,

Michelia

Hi Michelia!

UNT: https://library.unt.edu/digital-projects-unit/

Maybe they will digitize for you (has to meet certain criteria).

Good morning Michelia,
I agree that Lee's suggestion is an excellent one. UNT digitized a small collection of our newspapers at no cost, and the digitized items are now accessible on the Portal to Texas History.
Another option to consider is Creekside Digital, which offers a variety of digitization services with pricing that varies based on the project. Their website indicates they can digitize Jacket or COM microfiche, along with other major microform types. We recently worked with them to digitize a large collection of microfilm reels and had a very positive experience. We discovered them through Lyrasis, so if your organization is a member, you may even qualify for special pricing.
I’ve included a link to their website below for your reference.
Best,
Maria
