The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas welcomes service-orientated applicants for the Library Assistant II - Circulation position at the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) Library, part of the University of the Incarnate Word Libraries.

Note that this position will work at the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) Library is located at the UIW Brooks Campus at 7615 Kennedy Hill Drive, San Antonio, TX 78235.

Job Duties

  • Customer Service/Circulation Desk
  • ILS Data Entry (Fulfillment/Circulation Functions)
  • Oversight of Student Employees
  • Equipment and Technology
  • Facilities, Public Spaces, Shelf Management

Required Qualifications

  • 60 College Hours
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in libraries or related environment with direct responsibilities for customer service.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience in a library or related environment.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a library or related environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Access Services or Circulation.
  • Experience with ALMA or another integrated library system.
