Hi,

When I change a sources classifier, do the unconfirmed images in that source automatically get reannotated or should the annotations be deleted for them to be reannotated?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,

The unconfirmed images in that source should automatically get reannotated.

Specifically in terms of the source's background jobs, once you submit that change, CoralNet should schedule a source-check job.
Then during that source check (assuming there's nothing else to do like feature-extraction or training), it'll look for unconfirmed images that were last visited by a classifier other than the newly-selected classifier, and will schedule those images for reclassification.

Although maybe "reannotated"/"reclassified" is slightly misleading. As can be seen in the annotation history, it does not automatically delete all previous annotations and start from scratch. Instead, it updates only the annotations where the previous label and the new classifier's label disagree. If they agree for every point in the image, then you won't see anything new in the annotation history. However, in the source jobs list, you can confirm that the Classify jobs did in fact run.
