Hello,

My name is Melanie and I am working on the Coral Reef Rescue: Resilient Coral Reefs, Resilient Communities Project. The project aims to build capacity and solutions that ensure the long-term survival of resilient coral reef ecosystems, thereby conserving their biodiversity and supporting the blue economies and communities dependent on them. We operate with partners in the following 6 countries, which are host to some of the most environmentally significant coral reefs globally: Tanzania, Madagascar, Indonesia, Philippines, Solomon Islands and Fiji.

As part of this project, we have developed the Coral Reef Rescue Portal, which links government, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), local communities and field operators with relevant data, platforms and other digital tools to promote data-driven decision-making, inform action and facilitate information sharing. The Portal makes it easy to find trusted tools and information to manage, monitor, protect, and learn about coral reefs, and is available in English, Indonesian and French.
There are multiple ways to explore the resources:
  1. Resource finder – Answer a few simple questions to identify your area of interest and get personalised suggestions. The quiz uses helpful icons and prompts, making it great for visual learners.
  2. Filter the resources – apply filters to find resources matching your goals and areas of interest. You can mix and match filters to create a customised list that fits your needs.
  3. Search – Looking for something specific? Use the search bar to go straight to a resource page.
We have included CoralNET as one of the 70 resources in the Portal. You can view the information page here: CoralNet

We welcome any feedback on the information included, or suggestions for the tool - we would love you to explore the Portal and share it with your networks!

Warm regards,

Melanie Johnson
