Dear friends in good food,

Food Forward is hosting a meeting for folks from small businesses, neighbourhood organizations and projects focusing on good food in Trinity-Spadina to come together. This comes as part of a project called Food For Ward, aiming to connect, educate, and advocate for good food work being done at the neighbourhood level. The purpose of this meeting is simply to connect with each other and learn about the initiatives and ventures happening in wards 19 and 20.

Participants should come willing to share some experiences and challenges about participating in food system work. We hope connections can be made in Trinity-Spadina to open up the possibility for future collaborations around initiatives or to simply be better informed - there is so much going on!

The meeting will be held at the Scadding Court Community Centre at 707 Dundas St. W. Participants are invited to attend Market 707 prior to attending the meeting to check out what it has to offer and purchase some delicious dinner from local vendors. Please see http://www.scaddingcourt.org/market_707 for more information on the market and what it has to offer. Thanks to Scadding Court for hosting us. If you know of others to invite, do let us know.

Let me know if you have any questions or ideas and please RSVP to Jessica, jes...@pushfoodforwad.com

Did you know there were nearly one million food bank visits in Toronto last year? But no lack of food here.. the food industry makes up our largest manufacturing sector.
