Icannot speak highly enough about the Stella Jacket. I loved it so much I now have it in two colors! I', 5'7, 175lbs and have a bit curvier of a build (wider hips and shoulders) and the large fits perfect. This jacket fits so well in a way that is stylish but super functional. It's also insane how waterproof it is! Holds up fantastically in the wet PNW winters. All of the pockets are perfectly places and I love how easily it packs down when I'm traveling. I am constantly raving about this jacket (and my Chariot bibs!) to everyone who will listen. Highly recommend!

I've used my Stella jacket for two years and it's still as good as new. I've worn this at the resort and in the backcountry and it hasn't let me down yet. Awesome fit, waterproof and pairs well with Chariot bibs! Love this jacket and I highly recommend it!

Just received this jacket a few weeks ago and have only worn it a few times but LOVE it so far! The fabric is a little stiff but totally waterproof. And the pockets, there are so many and they are functional and perfectly placed. The hood is big enough to fit over my helmet and the jacket is long enough to cover my bum on the chair lift. The quality seems awesome, too! Definitely would recommend!

I love this jacket. I needed a good shell for when I'm free riding, and this is perfect. I originally got a large, and sized up to the XL because I like my outerwear to be more loose (I wear a lot of layers, I'm a little curvy, and just like a baggier fit). I'm able to move around with our feeling constricted and it keeps me super dry - you know that PNW weather. 10/10 would recommend!

Here are two other brands that go nicely in a poppy field. One is Fox and the other I think Six, Six One. I havent tried them (the fitted type) They seem very warm to me. I can see how they would be better for SM though. More form fitting and better for sliding on pavement I would think. But nothing replaces leather. I wish I had some nice leathers.

They didn't have a big enough womens one in stock (just a small) for me to try on but I have seen the Alpinestars one and the Madonna style boob cones is almost enough to make me buy a mens or youth one. EVS Sports also makes a few different models (www.evs-sports.com) and Rock Gardn makes another women's specific one ( -armor/lady-flak-jacket-lfj-detail.htm) and you could send a PM to DVKmoto because she has this model and might be able to tell you more about the fit. I do remember her saying it felt a little sort in the torso but she's also pretty tall.

I've got the Alpinestars Stella. There's another post on this topic, but in a nutshell, if I had to do it over, I'd get Alpinestars, but the mens version. The women's has built in "hooters" (as pointed out by a friend) and I am pretty small, there's just too much room in there. I love the fit of the back protection/arms/shoulders, and love the protection. The velcro leaves a bit to be desired, so I am sewing new stuff on soon. I tried on the six six one, the fox, and of the 3, liked this one best. I've taken some hard falls on the trails, and never ever felt anything on my shoulders, back or arms. Even one fall I hurt my toe through my Sidi boots, bruised it, and my shoulder/arm took the brunt of the fall. I never even felt it there. My son has a mens version, which he'll be growing out of soon. I'll take that one and give my daughter my women's version. Best to just try on what you can. I can't comment for SM - but I do feel that is comfortable and stays in place during a crash.

Dirtee Girl has the stella, the bionic boob thing fits her well, but the back protector is a bit too tall at the top and rubs her helmet on occasion. She's 5'4" and short in the torso, I think I bought the meduim for her???

I'd have to agree there's nothing like leather for sliding on asphalt. Not sure I'd want Dirtee to use the stella for street, if it had to be used it would not survive more than one get off without measurable damage. Leather on the other hand is more durable for repeated use.

I tried on so many mens armor and had one for a while and none of them fit me right and kids were to small... The mens armor was to long for my body and my arms. The kidney belt would be around my hips instead of my waist so it was pretty pointless.
